Raspberr Pi 4 Video Issues w/ HDMI?

If you are trying to output from Raspberry Pi 4 HDMI to a display and having issues, try this simple fix first (assuming you were able to implement VNC to have desktop access)

  • Connect your monitor to HDMI0
  • Remove all changes from config.txt
  • Reboot
  • In X run the Screen Configuration application
  • Right-click on the rectangle labeled HDMI-1
  • Pick the proper resolution

Now celebrating its 30th birthday, the Sound Blaster made a massive impact when it was launched back in 1989. It seems bizarre now, but at that time, gaming was still considered to be a frivolous novelty for the PC, which was primarily a business machine. While the Atari ST and Commodore Amiga had half-decent sound capabilities, most PCs came equipped with only a mono PC speaker, which simply blurted our chirps and beeps like an excitable 1970s telephone. PC audio was terrible.
